Tucked down an alley way, Petit Paris offers tough competition to Nottingham’s French Living restaurant. Its menu serves up generous portions of tender meat, cooked to perfection, and it is just the place to treat yourself to a juicy stake. It really does live up to its name and brings a little bit of Paris to Nottingham. Petit Paris has authentic background music and serves a variety of popular French meals as well as a selection of English and European dishes. Catering for private parties of up to 24 guests is available upon request.

A “popular” city-centre Gallic bistro, tipped for its “exceptional-value lunch and pre-theatre menus”. read more
I have been to Petit Paris many times and have never been disappointed. The food is always good and the staff always highly effective. I recommend the lunchtime menu or pre-theatre meals which are a bargain at £9.95 for 2 courses or £11.95 for 3 courses. I also like the fact that there always seem to be some French waiters or waitresses as well as the same restaurant manager (is he the owner not sure? although I am pretty sure he is italian or he looks it). Of course this is not a michelin star restaurant but all in all it provides good value for money.

"November 2004 - a lovely evening! My wife and I were visiting our son who is studying in the city. We like French cuisine and wandered for some time around the city centre, hungry but uninspired, until we came upon this gem of a restaurant. We had no booking and it was a busy weekend evening - which appeared to be a problem at first. But, after some initial hesitation, the proprietor found us a table and we experienced a beautiful meal, well presented, with friendly service and an authentic French ambience. We will return . . . . and may even treat our son next time!"

"My partner and I visited the restuarant and were bowled over by quality of the food, atmosphere and service. We will visit again very soon."

"In my view this is definitely the best eatery in Nottingham. Whether you are looking for an evening out with friends, a pre-theatre menu, an excuse for meeting friends for lunch or planning ahead for a christmas dinner - you are unlikely to bother booking anywhere else ever again! The pre-theatre/lunch menu has losts of choice and is great value for money - choices range from steak et pommes frites to one of the delicious house specialities - tarte tartin. My favourite is the chicken and bacon salad - available as a starter or a main - I've tried numerous times to uncover the ingredients used in the salad dressing - however, I think the true secret is the use of fresh, local produce in all the dishes that makes a real difference. I have eaten in the more expensive restaurants in Nottingham and quite frankly found them disappointing. Le Petit Paris in my view wins hands down for quality, service and value. The staff are friendly and helpful, service is excellent even wh! en the restaurant is full to bursting. The wine menu has something to suit everyone's taste/pocket and the A La Carte Menu will have you umming and aahing at the choices, so much so, you'll need to make sure you book regularly to sample everything. There's a good variety of fish and meat dishes and plenty of variety for vegetarians too. Phew! I'm hungry now and off to book a table. Remember to book early to avoid disappointment!
